Team Mildenhall members are reminded that many over-the-counter medications found in U.K. pharmacies contain codeine and are considered controlled substances. Military personnel should be cautious when taking OTC (non-prescription) medications which may result in a positive urinalysis for banned substances.

"If you're prescribed a medication off base, make sure to contact your primary care doctor," said Master Sgt. Gene Thornton, 100th Air Refueling Wing Drug Demand Reduction Program manager from St. Johns, Mich. "As long as it has been annotated in your medical records, it can be used."
