Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
Being part of the Air Force allows me to be a part of something bigger than myself that has a real-world impact I can tangibly see and be proud of.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my first deployment. I had arrived at my first assignment just four months before I was tasked to deploy. While deployed, I was able to work alongside an amazing unit and gain perspective of the Air Force mission at an early point in my career.

What are your personal and/or professional goals?
My personal goal is to finish my master's degree before I depart RAF Mildenhall for my next assignment. My professional goal is to make technical sergeant and be picked to attend the Joint Special Operations University enlisted professional military education course for technical sergeants.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is the teamwork demonstrated by the 352nd SOG. Seeing how our leadership team is centered on teamwork and leading from the front or by example, but still able to listen and follow, is an incredible thing to experience as a junior NCO. It gives me the tools I need to be a better NCO.

How does the individual portray that core value?
"Sergeant Roman is always there to help others be their best and ensure the mission succeeds. Not only in her primary job as the command chief executive assistant, but as a leader and mentor for the 352nd SOG. Her attention to detail and ability to put the mission first has brought a sense of quality assurance and teamwork to the 352nd SOG front office," said Chief Master Sgt. William Markham, 352nd SOG command chief. "As a young staff sergeant with 7 years in service, her executive communication skills not only with the 352nd SOG squadrons but as well as with the mighty 100th Air Refueling Wing are unmatched. This core value is also portrayed off duty in her ongoing commitment to further other people in being the best they can be."
