The Team Mildenhall Combined Federal Campaign kicked off Sept. 16, 2013.

The CFC is a voluntary program which allows federal employees to make a monetary donation to a charity of their choice.

Team Mildenhall members who wish to participate may donate using the following methods: setting up an allotment, making a one-time cash or check donation or using a credit card to donate online.

This year, the CFC is also giving Airmen the chance to give back to RAF Mildenhall.

"The Family Support and Youth Programs section allows Airmen from Team Mildenhall to give back to the base," said Senior Master Sgt. Lenard Gleesing, 100th Maintenance Group Quality Assurance superintendent.

Out of the $611,000 that was contributed to the FSYP last year, $5,204 came directly back to RAF Mildenhall, said Gleesing, a native of Corning, Calif.

A copy of the 2013 Charity Listing and a pledge card are available for every service member and DOD civilian at RAF Mildenhall. The Charity Listing lists more than 2,400 different national and international charities.

This year, the base's campaign goal is to collect more than $130,000 in donations and to have at least 50 percent of the base population participate. The contact goal for Team Mildenhall is 15 percent contact by Sept. 23, 2013; 25 percent contact by Sept. 30, 2013; and 100 percent contact by Nov. 15, 2013.

Each squadron has a point of contact for the CFC who will interact with everyone in the unit. For more information on the CFC or how to make a donation, contact your unit representative.
