Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? A former boss said to me that I was British by birth, American by desire. My job is important to me because it enables me to maintain a connection with the United States. What's more, I get to do so in an environment of service rather than one in which we are chasing the "almighty dollar."

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? I'm told I've got a pretty good reputation at work and being consistent in what I do is probably what I am most proud of. With the transient nature of the Air Force, as the local national I get to be the constant for my unit.

What are your personal and/or professional goals? I am a woman of faith, so growing in my Christian walk is my personal goal, as well as visiting all 50 U.S. states. I have been to 39 and counting as of now! Professionally, I am content in my current position for the foreseeable future, but my goal would be to continue to give the tasks which I do and the people whom I work with my very best. I don't serve in the military but it's my privilege to serve in some small way alongside the military, and I hope that I will be able to continue to do so.

What is your favorite part of your job? The people are my favorite part. I'm part of a small unit where everybody knows each other and it's great to be a part of the family. I have met some of my best friends since I started working here and though most of them live many miles away now I know they will be in my world for a lifetime.

How does the individual portray that core value? "Lucy epitomizes excellence in all we do every day of her job. She is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of reports and keeping the 100th MXG running smoothly," said Master Sgt. Travis Partin, 100th MXG First Sergeant. "She has a top-notch work ethic and remains professional at all times. People trust her with the most sensitive information."
