Toree McGee set to take stage at Marauder Melee Published June 10, 2016 By Staff Sgt. Micaiah Anthony 100th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Up-and-coming country music star, Toree McGee, will make her debut performance in the U.K. on June 16, 2016, for the Marauder Melee event at RAF Mildenhall, England. RAF Mildenhall’s annual sporting event will conclude with a free concert featuring McGee along with country music artists Lucas Hoge and Guy Jaquier in Washington Square. “I’m really excited to be able to perform for our military personnel because they sacrifice so much for our country,” said McGee. The concert will be open to all base ID card holders and their dependents. “It’s country but there is some rock and roll in there, some good raspy grass-roots kind of rock and roll,” McGee said about her style of music. “We want it to be a fun experience that people can come and listen to the music and get involved in a family atmosphere.” One of her favorite artists is Janice Joplin which means attendees can expect to hear a song or two from the late Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer, along with some classic country music from Johnny Cash mixed with McGee’s creative style. “We do a good mix of original songs and covers because we want people to be able to sing along to the songs that they know,” she added. “Music is very important to me; it brings a lot of people together. We just want folks to have fun and feel a connection with the band.” In addition to live music, attendees of the event will be able to enjoy games and entertainment for the whole family. “I am really looking forward to (Marauder Melee),” said McGee excitedly. “I can’t wait to meet and thank as many people as I can, both service members and their families, for their service and their sacrifices.”
