Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?

It is a great career choice, and I truly enjoy supporting a greater cause.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?

Using the training I had been afforded to complete heavy-level maintenance at a deployed location, ahead of schedule.

What are your personal and/or professional goals?

My personal goal is to provide a healthy and safe environment for the family I look forward to having. My professional goals are to set myself up for the future, beyond my military service, retire honorably, and be able to look back on my career in a proud manner.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I am proud to be a critical part in the successes of worldwide missions. It’s a good feeling to know that the job I do directly relates to the successes of the Air Force posture and the global reach of our allies.
How does the individual portray that core value?

Service before Self: “On countless occasions Staff Sgt. Benjamin has volunteered to work during holidays so other Airmen within the MOC could be home with their families. If there is a requirement for a mission during weekends or holidays, the maintenance operations center must be at work and monitoring the flight line,” said Tech. Sgt. Richard Maurer, 100th MXG maintenance operations center NCO in charge. “During the most recent holiday season, Benjamin not only volunteered to be on call and work on Thanksgiving, but also volunteered during the Christmas Holiday as well.

Excellence in All You Do: “Benjamin has been in the MOC for more than six months, and in that time has far exceeded all expectations. He has completely revamped the training plan and developed multiple training aids for his fellow controllers.”
