100th CES "Dirt boyz" carry weight of Team Mildenhall
Senior Airman Billy Crocker, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Pavements and Construction equipment operator "Dirt boy" from Texarkana, Texas, prepares an airfield sweeper to remove foreign object debris, March 21, 2013, at RAF Mildenhall, England. They protect the aircraft and its crew by keeping the runway free from debris. The sweepers are also used to maintain clean and debris free streets on base. The term “Dirt boyz” is a slang term used among those in RED HORSE. It is similar to a term of endearment-one that is said with respect, admiration and distinction throughout the civil engineer career field. (U.S. Air Force photo by Gina Randall/Released)
