351st EARS maintainers ‘strut’ their stuff
Nathanael Glass, 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron, helps block off the right main-landing gear of a KC-135R May 24, 2013, at Moron Air Base, Spain. Maintenance crews removed the gear to repack the strut, which had a break in the seal. The strut is a sealed system and provides cushion via pressure created by hydraulic fluid compressing air when the aircraft lands. (U.S. Air Force photo by 1st Lt. Christopher Mesnard/Released)
