New security barriers save time, money, environment

New vehicle access control barriers are being installed around RAF Mildenhall, England. The self-contained units are solar- and wind-powered, and can be activated instantly. This means they can be taken and installed anywhere in the world, so are beneficial in deployed environments. The barriers are also accessible to fire trucks and other emergency services and are operated by key-fob. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Dillon Johnston/Released)
