New security barriers save time, money, environment
New barriers to aid and increase force protection are being installed around RAF Mildenhall, England. The new, “green” barriers are solar- and wind-powered and are saving the base many thousands of dollars, as they do not run on electricity as other types of barriers do. They will be used to filter and control vehicles, and allow the base to be divided into sectors, allowing the flow of traffic around base to still run freely.
