RAF Mildenhall exercises first-response skills
William Goodwin, a contracted simulation operator from Philadelphia, applies cosmetics to an Airman 1st Class Constance Byrd, 100th Security Forces patrolman from Kansas City, Mo., for an exercise April 29, 2013, on RAF Mildenhall, England. During the exercise, Byrd simulated a casualty who had a severely injured ankle due when a KC-135 malfunctioned while landing, causing it to “veer off-course” and an engine to “catch on fire.” [(Editor’s note: This image is from an exercise and does not depict any real world event.)(U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Preston Webb/Released)]
