RAF Mildenhall saves green
Rory Palmer, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Recycling Center manager, unloads cardboard from a bin into a cardboard bailer April 17, 2013, at RAF Mildenhall, England. Last year, the center diverted more than 560 U.S. tons of recycling material from going into on-base dumpsters as solid waste. To increase recycling and reduce landfill waste, base patrons can help by ensuring all recyclable items are properly separated for pickup. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Tabitha M. Lee/Released)
