Firefighters test life-saving skills

A firefighter with the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department prepares a fire hose during an exercise March 25, 2013, at RAF Mildenhall, England. The scenario involved lightning striking a building, which caused a fire. A person ran out of the building and got hit by a car, which then hit another car, turning it upside down and trapping three people. Firefighters prioritized their response, as the vehicle accident was a risk to life, while the building wasn't considered mission-essential. The first responders rescued the simulated victims from the vehicle and transported them to safety until medics appeared on-scene. (U.S. Air Force photo by Gina Randall/Released)
