RAF Mildenhall hosts Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby

Cub Scouts and family members cheer on the racing cars March 16, 2013, during the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby event held in the 100th Civil Engineering Squadron Fire Department at RAF Mildenhall, England. The event featured more than 50 Cub Scouts from five packs located in the UK. The first Pinewood Derby event was started by Don Murphy, cub master for Pack 280C in 1952. The event was created as a father-son event that mimicked the Soap Box Derby. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Stacia Zachary/Released)
