Before planes swap fuel in flight, fuels technicians top off tankers on ground
Thousands of gallons of fuel transfer from an in-ground system to a KC-135 Stratotanker while Senior Airman Dillon Moore, 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels technician, controls the flow Feb. 28, 2013. The system is capable of pumping about 600 gallons of gas per minute. Moore, from Reno, Nev., is deployed to southwest Europe in support of French operations in Mali.
