Deployed Stratotanker gets all jacked up
Staff Sgt. Nicholas Carone, 100th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, measures the distance between the ground and the tires of a KC-135 Stratotanker being lifted on hydraulic jacks Feb. 5, 2013, at an air base in southwest Europe. The aircraft tires had to be a certain distance off the ground to allow for the raising and lowering of the landing gear. Airmen from RAF Mildenhall, England, deployed to southwest Europe in January to support French operations in Mali. Carone is from Elk Grove, Calif. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Austin M. May)
