ORE kicks off with response to smoke-filled building
Staff Sgt. David Ordway, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department firefighter, talks on the radio inside his gas mask to other firefighters Dec. 3, 2012, as they provide each other information on the current situation during an operational readiness exercise at RAF Mildenhall, England. Ordway and another firefighter went inside the building and made their way through the thick smoke to rescue simulated casualties. The ORE is one of many exercises in preparation for a combined unit inspection in 2013. (U.S. Air Force photo by Karen Abeyasekere/Released)
