3rd AF commander visits UK bases
Airman 1st Class Michael Lara, 100th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment apprentice, speaks to Lt. Gen. Craig A. Franklin, 3rd Air Force commander, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Nov. 15, 2012, in building 814 on RAF Mildenhall, England. While here, Franklin met with base leadership and Airmen at a breakfast, briefings and lunch. His visit included tours of the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department, 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuels Processing, 100th Maintenance Group Sheet Metal, 100th Operations Group and a static display of a KC-135 Stratotanker. While in England, the general also visited, RAF Fairford, RAF Croughton, RAF Welford, RAF Lakenheath and the Cambridge American Cemetery at Madingley.
