From surfing to skateboarding, 'old-school' is best for 100th CES Airman

RAF LAKENHEATH, England – John Thurman, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron, practices skateboarding moves at the RAF Lakenheath skate park Aug. 17, 2012. Skateboarding has been a means for the young Airman 1st Class to make friends in the British community. When he gets the chance, Thurman and his friends use the base’s skate park to practice, and every Thursday they head to Romford, Essex, to meet up with their British friends and use the indoor skate parks.
