Construction on new running path well underway

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Gary Congreve, a contractor, lays path edgings on the new running track Feb. 23, 2012. The path will run mainly along the perimeter road, from the south side sports field to Lincoln road, near the long-term parking lot. The total cost for the project is more than $634,000. It will be about 6-feet-wide and is scheduled for completion in June. The construction project is using recycled, crushed concrete from the demolition of Building 538 and recycled rubber (from vehicle tires) for the top surface.
