435th CTS proves one-stop shop for construction at RAF Mildenhall

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- One of 17 rolls of steel is connected to a panel-former machine to make and form panels which are being used to build a K-Span facility Jan. 27, 2012, on the south side of base here. The K-Span structure, a half-moon-shaped building, made completely of steel formed into arched panels joined together using a seaming machine, rather than nuts and bolts, was built by a team of U.S. Air Force active duty members and one German national, all from the 435th Construction and Training Squadron Military Construction Flight, near Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
