Tech. Sgt. Latanza Meabon-Whiteside

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. – Tech. Sgt. Latanza Meabon-Whiteside (center), 100th Logistic Readiness Squadron, was STEP-promoted from staff sergeant to technical sergeant under the Stripes for Excellent Performers program Nov. 25, 2011. Maj. Gen. Lawrence Wells (left), 9th Air Force commander, and Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Harrigian, Air Force Central Command deputy commander, surprised the sergeant at her deployed location with the new stripe. Meabon-Whiteside, 100th Air Refueling Wing Air Expeditionary Force reporting tool coordinator, is deployed to Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., in AFCENT’s logistics (A4) division. Chief Master Sgt. Robert Brooks (not pictured here), 9th AF command chief, was also present to recognize Meabon-Whiteside’s STEP promotion and presented her with the certificate of promotion. (Courtesy photo)
