From the ground up, POL makes missions happen

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Staff Sgt. Chris Schultz, 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuels Management Flight fuels expediter, connects a fuel transport system (pantograph) to refuel a transient aircraft here Oct. 24, 2011. The hydrant outlet is the connection point of the underground pipeline which feeds fuel from storage tanks to the hardstand. Received from a local supplier, fuel is piped to bulk storage containers around base, before being transferred to fuel trucks or piped to storage areas at hardstands.
