Surviving stormy weather with aircrew, water survival training

LOWESTOFT COLLEGE, England -- In pitch darkness -- except for a single, intermittent beam of light which shines down on the 20-man life raft -- severe storm conditions are simulated during water survival training July 14, 2011. U.S. Air Force members had to jump into the pool -- guided only by the light of a small flashlight -- then brave large waves, rain (from a sprinkler system) and 30-knot winds before clambering into the life raft.
