Surviving stormy weather with aircrew, water survival training
LOWESTOFT COLLEGE, England -- Aircrew members from RAFs Mildenhall and Lakenheath pull themselves onto a 20-man life raft July 14, 2011, which was part of the water survival training they have to attend. The pool is 16-feet-deep, half-Olympic size and has pumps that create six- to eight-foot waves, fans which produce a 30-knot wind, and sprinkler system and lighting controls to replicate horrific sea conditions.
