RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Ryan Courtwright, 100th Communications Squadron, chips onto the green at the 455-yard, par 5 11th hole with playing partner Brian Brown looking on during the RAF Mildenhall Intramural Golf play-offs at Breckland Pines Golf Club, RAF Lakenheath, July 12, 2011. The golfers were playing scramble format, where all members of the team hit from the same spot throughout the hole, using the best shot each time to determine the location of the next shot. For example, all members hit their tee shots. The location of the best tee shot becomes the spot from which all team members hit their second shot. This “best ball” format continues with each round of shots counting as one stroke for the team, until a final group score is posted for the hole. Two points are awarded for winning the front nine holes, two points for the back nine and two points for wining overall. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Ethan Morgan)
