Norfolk Urban Search and Rescue showcase equipment to RAF Mildenhall firefighters

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- The equipment shown here forms just a small part of that owned by Norfolk Urban Search and Rescue, located in Wymondham, Norfolk. Four firefighters from NUSR were here March 30, 2011, to show and demonstrate some of their equipment to the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department. Their range of equipment includes scene survey equipment, lighting, search cameras, shoring-up equipment and roll-up back boards. "This training provides a good understanding for all personnel, and show us what (NUSR) brings to the fight if we need their assistance," said Martin Savine, 100th CES Fire Department watch manager. Being in the same career field, this training helps build partnerships and strengten community relationships between on- and off-base firefighters and rescue teams.
