Two silos appear on landscape at RAF Mildenhall

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- A contractor uses a lift to inspect the A-frame mixer plant at the concrete batching site here March 29, 2011. Once up and running, concrete will be mixed and discharged into a chute, before being transferred to a mixer truck. The ingredients to make the concrete come out of the aggregate bins near the bottom of the A-frame, get transferred onto a weigh belt before going onto a conveyer belt and into a skip. The mixture then travels upwards before going into a mixing panel. Two cubic meters of the mixture are produced per batch, which is equivalent to more than 2.6 tons.
