Firefighters give commanders insight into fire training
RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Crew manager Simon Evans, left, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department, and Nigel McCurdy, Forest Heath District Council strategic director and 100th CES honorary commander, encourage each other before heading into the smoke house here March 17, 2011. Smoke filled the nearby area before they went in, as Col. David Doe, 100th Mission Support Squadron commander, went inside the smoke house first to bring out a mannequin as part of a training rescue scenario. Mr. McCurdy and Colonel Doe spent time training with the firefighters to gain an understanding of the job they do. (U.S. Air Force photo/Karen Abeyasekere)
