Confined space facility provides additional training options for firefighters
RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Firefighter Michael Ayres and Crew Manager Jeffrey Peacock, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department, check readings from a gas monitor (which takes readings from the air to test for oxygen deficiencies) and call in their findings to the on-scene command section during a training exercise at the confined space trainer here March 8, 2011. Firefighters practiced their first confined space rescue training at the new facility using a mannequin to simulate a casualty who had fallen below ground level.
