Confined space facility provides additional training options for firefighters
RAF MILDENHALL, England -- A mannequin, precariously caught up on steps, simulates a casualty who has fallen into a tunnel, before firefighters enter the area on a training exercise March 8, 2011. The confined space trainer is a new facility that allows the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department, along with other flights from 100th CES, 100th Communications Squadron and the 352nd Special Operations Group, to perform a variety of training purposes. The red pipes are water lines and the trainer will be hooked up to a water supply and partly filled on occasion, to make training more difficult and to simulate emergency situations.
