Civil engineers prepare "300 area" for turnover
RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Members of the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron load wood and rubbish into the bucket of a digger at the "300 area" in Beck Row Feb. 17, 2011. The area, which has been leased to the Air Force, will be handed back to the Ministry of Defence Feb. 22. Personnel from the 100th CES electrical, structures, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and horizontal shops performed the clean-up themselves, saving the base almost $9,000 in contracting fees.
