Indy 500 centennial tour gears up to visit RAF Mildenhall
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500-mile race this year, Armed Forces Entertainment (a Department of Defense agency) and the Morale Entertainment Foundation are coordinating the Indy 500 Centennial Tour to visit American troops serving overseas. The tour will visit the Galaxy Club at RAF Mildenhall Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. Entry is free and open to base ID cardholders, but by ticket only. Tickets are available from the Bob Hope Community Center. There will be panel discussions and questions, along with the opportunity to meet, greet and take photos of drivers including Mario Andretti, Al Unser Jr., Johnny Rutherford and Larry Foyt, along with racing announcer Jack Arute.
