Training ensures RAF Mildenhall members are CBRN-ready
RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Team Mildenhall members end their Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear response training class by simulating decontaminating their gloved hands outside the 100th Civil Engineering Squadron building Dec. 9, 2010. The class, held weekly and run by the 100th CES Readiness and Emergency Management Flight, is for military members preparing to deploy to high-threat areas where they may come into contact with CBRN hazards. The two-hour class consists of classroom training, including a thorough check of gas masks, and training outside in chemical gear performing post attack reconnaissance. During the PAR, the group split into two teams with each checking chemical detection paper on wooden stands and on their sleeves, and reporting their findings to headquarters.
