Fire officials PASS extinguisher training to concessionaires

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Ela Toombs, a Base Exchange concessionaire, practices using a fire extinguisher while being observed by her instructor, Adrian Delaney, RAF Mildenhall Fire Department watch manager, outside the BX July 15. The fire department taught concessionaires from RAFs Mildenhall and Lakenheath to use the PASS method to put out small fires when it is safe to do so. This technique involves pulling the extinguisher pin, aiming at the base of the fire, squeezing the extinguisher handle and sweeping from side to side until the fire is out.
