Kessingland, England, memorial service
Kessingland, England -- The Kessingland Village war memorial stands to honor fallen servicemembers on the grounds of St. Edmund's Church. The crew of U.S. Air Force B24 Liberator 843 Repulser, which was shot down 66 years ago, was remembered at the site in a memorial service April 22. Relatives of the 12 servicemembers who died in the crash had planned to attend, however grounded flights prevented all but one from arriving. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Thomas Trower)
