Ely Cathedral

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- The contemporary gothic style tower on Ely Cathedral was rebuilt after the Norman central tower collapsed in Feb. 1322 due to sinking foundations under the original stone tower. The new addition was built out of wood and symbolizes death leading to new life. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Christopher L. Ingersoll)
