Only room for a few nuts
A 400-year-old cat dangles from the ceiling of the Nutshell Pub, the smallest pub in England, located in Bury St. Edmunds, Aug. 16, 2007. Legend has it that when houses were built, the custom of bricking a live cat up in the wall would ward off evil spirits. This particular cat was discovered when an old house was demolished and demonstrates the custom for Nutshell patrons. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Tracy L. DeMarco)
