With a little help from his friends
Below is Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, completed in 1997. It’s a modern reconstruction of the original theatre destroyed by fire in 1613. Rebuilt in 1614, like other theatres in London, it was closed by the Puritans in 1642, and destroyed in 1644 to build tenements. (U.S. Air Force photo)
