24-hour vigil honors those missing in action
RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Staff Sgt. Phillip Bradt, 100th Security Forces Squadron, stands in silent vigil in honor of prisoners of war and those missing in action Sept. 17. Airmen from RAF Mildenhall gave 10 minutes of their time to support the Prisoner of War/ Missing in Action 24-hour vigil. The base hosted the vigil as part of the annual POW/MIA remembrance week, complete with a display of combat boots to represent the military members who have been captured or lost in past wars or conflicts. Volunteers read names of those still listed as missing for five minutes before standing guard at the memorial until relieved by another volunteer. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Christopher L.
