John H. Eckert Jr. honored his father, U.S. Army Air Forces 1st Lt. John K. Eckert, a B-22 Marauder pilot with the 344th Bomb Group, who lost his life just three weeks after arriving in England for the war, March 8, 1944, by arranging for flowers to decorate his father's headstone prior to the annual Memorial Day ceremony at the World War II American Cemetery, Madingley, England, May 28, 2007.
