Drivers receive safety check before dangerous weekend

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Master Sgt. William Rathbun, 100th Air Refueling Wing safety office, tells drivers, "Have a great weekend, we'll see you Tuesday," at Gate 1 before they leave base Sept. 4. Commanders and representatives from the safety office and Airmen Against Drunk Driving manned base departure gates to ensure 100 percent seatbelt use. Historically, there are numerous vehicle mishaps over the final weekend of the Air Force's 101 Critical Days of Summer campaign, said Sergeant Rathbun, but this year RAF Mildenhall was incident free.
