Life lessons
Chaplain (Capt.) Eric Boyer, 100th Air Refueling Wing Chapel, was among thousands of Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and civilians, who were dedicated to getting through a grueling day in the hills of White Sands, N.M., as part of the 26.2-mile Bataan Memorial Death through the desert. The march is held annually to remember the U.S. Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines who, as Japanese prisoners of war, were forced to march through the jungles of the Philippines during World War II, without adequate food, water or rest.
