This snapshot, taken in 1942 at RAF Mildenhall, shows Sergeant Jim Coman (right) and a fellow aerial gunner. At the time, Sergeant Coman was a radio operator and gunner on Royal Air Force Wellington 1C bombers, and eventually flew on Stirling and Lancaster bombers as well. (Contributed photo)
