Efficiency ensures AFSO21 success
Staff Sgt. Daniel Dela-Cruz, a crew chief from the 100th Maintenance Squadron, displays a hex socket removed from a tool kit as a part of Air Force Smart Operation of the 21st Century program April 8, at RAF Mildenhall. By incorporating AFSO21 into the support section, Sergeant Dela-Cruz was able to reduce the amount of time wasted by removing the hex socket into an individual checkout item. With this and similar changes, Sgt. Dela-Cruz and his team were able to decrease man hours spent inspecting tools by 24% from 790 hours annually to 604. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
