Testing the waters

Fiona Carson, an environmental consultant, tests well water for contaminants March 19, 2009, at RAF Mildenhall, England. Ms. Carson pulls 12 samples per well so that each sample may be used to conduct specific tests. Using a water parameter meter, she is able to analyze water ph readings, temperature, and conductivity while also having the ability to determine biological oxygen demand, gas range organic and volatile organic compounds to name a few.
