Sewing up training

Staff Sgt. Sean Basile, 352nd Operation Support Squadron, uses a long-arm-medium-size sewing machine to adapt a G-14 deployment bag for a 22-foot cargo parachute. These bags are the only type to receive this type of modification in the Department of Defense; they have to be tailored to a certain standard for low-level air drops by special operations forces C-130 aircraft. The six-year Tulsa Oklahoma native has been working long hours over the past couple weeks keeping cargo and personnel chutes packed and ready for special operators to meet their individual training schedules, whether that means they’re in the cockpit, the cargo bay or leaping out the back of the airplane.
