Giving thanks
Chaplain (Col.) Scott R. Gardner, United States Air Forces in Europe Command chaplain, speaks to the congregation during the annual Thanksgiving a service held at Ely Cathedral Nov. 26, 2008, in Ely, England. The service gives U.S. servicemembers in England an opportunity to enjoy a holiday service at one of the cathedrals in the local area. Ely Cathedral, built by William the Conqueror as a prominent outpost after the bloody and lengthy rebellion by Hereward the Wake, stands as a fine example of William's devotion to his Religion and to his overwhelming victory for the Britons.
