Winter safety checks
Civilian Security Officer 5 Mark Osbourne, Ministry of Defence Police and Guarding Agency, checks the tire pressure on a vehicle pulled over for winter safety checks as part of the winter driving safety campaign. MoD Police, MoD Police and Guarding Agency, 100th Security Forces Squadron and 100th ARW Safety personnel worked together performing winter safety checks on vehicles. They checked tires, lights and windshields, and provided advice on equipment to keep in the car. Suggested cold weather driving equipment included an ice scraper, flashlight, jumper cables, warm clothing and a blanket. They also recommended keeping items such as a warning triangle, first aid kit, high visibility vest and mobile phone permanently in vehicles. Seventy-five vehicles were checked at RAF Mildenhall.
