Lifeline to refuelers: 100th LRS proves NKAWTG
Fuel is transferred from a pantograph (jointed framework of pipes) onto a transient KC-135 Stratotanker June 25, 2013, on RAF Mildenhall, England. Piped in from off base, fuel goes into on-base storage tanks and an underground piping system, each of which get tested regularly to ensure the contents are clean and suitable for transferring onto aircraft.
